From Monday, Dec 5, through Friday, Dec 9, the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan will be collecting new and very gently used children’s winter clothing in their lobby at 334 Amsterdam Avenue (76th Street) to be donated to families of PS 75 students living in temporary housing, most of whom are recent migrants to New York City.
In November, the Rag reported that PS 75, located at 735 West End Avenue, between 95th and 96th Streets, had enrolled between 40 and 50 migrant children. Most of them came with few possessions, let alone winter clothes to keep them warm.
